Copyright Baerbel LoSaccoBorn and raised in East Germany Baerbel came to the US in 1995 as an AuPair. She met her husband while working for a family in CT, and moved to the US permanently in 1997. She worked as research scientist for a large German based pharmaceutical company in CT. After falling in love with the state on their first visit over 20 years ago, in 2013 she and her family moved to Maine. Baerbel bought first camera with pocket money when she was 10 years old.

If you have ever visited the State of Maine Photographers FaceBook page you have undoughtedly seen and admired her work. She is a frequent contributer whos posts rival the top photographers in the group. Her photographs often come from her back yard right here in the State of Maine. She has a way of turning ordinary subjects into extrodinary images.

Thursday night Baerbel will be speaking to us about “Macro Photography in your own back yard". Please join us and bring a friend.

The meeting will be held in the Senior room at Bangor Parks and Rec, 647 Main Street, Bangor Maine. Start time; 6:30 PM. The public is invited. The cost; FREE.

Eastern Maine Camera Club organizes speakers the first Thursday of the month from October to May. The schedule is typically posted on http://easternmainecameraclub.org/events.aspx in September.
